Educating with Head and Heart. My Wish for This Space

Welcome to this space—a place where education, psychopedagogy, and motherhood meets with the experience and perspective of someone who has lived it both in the school classrooms, through emotional and cognitive support given to families and children, and within her own family.

My name is Carmen. I am a Primary School Teacher, Educational Psychologist, and Educational Coach. I’ve spent several years supporting learning, development, and growth processes. I’ve worked with families, students, teachers—and I’ve witnessed a truth I want to share from day one: educating is more than just teaching contents; it’s about supporting individual growth.

This blog was born from the desire to share my knowledge, tools, experiences, and reflections. Through it, I aim to support both parents and fellow educators who may feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply in search of new ways to educate and guide their children or students with both heart and knowledge.

It stems from questions like:

  • What can I do to manage my child’s moments of frustration?
  • Why is my daughter falling behind her classmates in learning to read?
  • How do I handle conflicts in the classroom?
  • My children push me to the limit of my patience—what can I do to find calm and manage those moments better?

And also from other, quieter—but perhaps even more important—questions:

  • Am I doing this right?
  • Is this normal?
  • What if my child needs help and I haven’t noticed?
  • Why does my child seem sadder lately?

These and many other topics will be addressed through articles on neuroeducation, learning and behavior, practical advice to apply at home and in school, reflections based on my personal and professional experience, and of course, lots of resources to make everyday life easier for families and educators.

With this space, I want to contribute my small part by offering a place for parents and educators to grow together—with respect, with science, and with experience.

And since no one today holds a magic wand to carry out this mission perfectly, I also want this blog to be a community. A place to share, ask, make mistakes, learn… and together build paths of learning.

If you’ve made it this far—thank you!

And I invite you to leave a comment about what topics you’d like to see in future posts.
